Satellite scenes
Every satellite picture on the landing page is a real scene of a named Irish coastal place, or a field from our own Copernicus Marine data. Nothing is composited or drawn into the pixels.

Changes made to the images
Scenes and photos are colour-graded to the page palette: slightly desaturated, cooled and darkened. Satellite scenes also have their shadows lifted to the app navy, so open water is not black. Photos are cropped to fit their card. The chlorophyll field is not graded: its colours are the legend of the data.
